Introducing our School Nurse Resources Page!

This month, Camp Kudzu debuted its “School Nurse Resources” webpage. We understand just how big a role that school nurses play in the care of children and teens with type 1 diabetes (T1D). A designated home for all information about camp—with some created especially for school nurses to share with their students’ families and school staff—we look to be a resource to school nurses just as much as we are a to our students. The Kudzu Team also offered its first Continuing Nursing Education opportunity outside of the camp setting. The Diabetes Camp Experience for Children with T1D: Positive Youth Outcomes and Benefits, a webinar, took a deeper dive into data from Kudzu’s outcomes assessment conducted in partnership with Clemson University. Hosted live and also offered as a recording, thus far 23 school nurses across the state have received continuing education (CNE) while learning about Kudzu.
