Kicking off FY23
As Camp Kudzu enters a new fiscal year, we are eager to continue growing and building on our past success.
On behalf of our staff, the board of directors, and the broader Camp Kudzu community, we want to thank each and every family member, volunteer, and donor who contributed to yet another successful year of camp programming. In the past year alone, even with the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to serve 1,438 campers and family members with our engaging, educational and life-changing camp experiences.
As we close out FY22 and look ahead to the next year, we are well positioned to continue carrying out our mission. And what better way to wrap a prosperous fiscal year than with our second annual fundraising event, Evening Under the Stars? This sold-out soiree was a spectacular display of the pride and dedication continuously poured into Camp Kudzu. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors and supporters, we exceeded our fundraising goal and will continue to make a difference in the lives of our campers and families navigating type 1 diabetes (T1D).
We are immensely grateful for the donations that allow us to subsidize the cost of camp and provide scholarships to children with the greatest financial needs. Nearly half of our campers in FY22 received financial assistance to attend Camp Kudzu sessions, and as we continue to add programs and expand our reach, we aim to better engage and support families living in underserved areas across Georgia. Learn more about our new partnership with Leadership Atlanta and our commitment to providing equitable access to our programming.
With the momentum of this year’s thriving camp programs and continued growth on the horizon, we are thrilled and humbled by the ongoing support that allows us to continue this serving this community. Camp Kudzu strives to educate, inspire and empower children and families living with T1D, and we couldn’t do it without you.
Until there is a cure, there is camp!
